These images were captured with a Celestron 9.25 SCT AVX, a 2xTelevue Barlow and a high frame rate ZWO ASIMC120-S camera. The later ones had the benefit of a ZWO ADC (atmospheric dispersion corrector ) and were captured using FireCapture. The frames were then stacked and aligned in AutoStakkert!2 and then further processed in Registax6 using the wavelet options, then edited further in Adobe Elements 11. Despite the low altitude (about 17 deg) the ADC worked wonders - it had to be set at the maximum setting (dispersion).
As always the quality of the end result is overwhelmingly determined by the seeing conditions. Click on an image to get a larger picture and then the right arrow to page through.
